BottleStone is currently available in beautiful Mocha (its natural color), Cobalt (slight blue), Espresso, Sand  and our newest edition Black. Please ask about color updates.

Finishes

BottleStone's natural finish is a smooth, slightly polished or honed appearance. There are no chunks of glass, but rather a smooth consistent appearance as the glass and other ceramic binding elements melt together. It has a warm, organic, stone-like feel to the hand. A granite sealer, and other stone waxes can be applied for functional and aesthetic reasons. With additional polishing BottleStone achieves a high luster. Furthermore, because BottleStone is a ceramic, it can even have a glaze fired on the surface like a ceramic tile (however, this is only available in larger quantities and by special order in situations where fabrication is not needed).

Sizes

BottleStone comes in one standard and highly functional size which has been designed to reduce waste in common installations and has been specified by our fabrictors. The slab size is 30" x 48" (10 sq. ft.). The slab is 1 inch thick and can be cut with the same equipment as granite and other natural stone (see fabrication below).

30" has been selected as a width for common countertops and vanities with enough excess for edges and backsplash without the need to purchase additional material.

The 4 ft. length is a factor of our kiln size.  With a larger kiln, we anticipate making slabs that will be 7 ft. in length.
